I did not have my boozy lunch with Jean Martirez. She kept promising me a mojito. I don’t even drink them. Well, anything for a friend. But then her husband (like Calgon) took her away. Jean just tweeted me that she blew me off for a piece of ass.
Speaking of … I just saw Jillian looking hot on KTLA. She is too good not to be on TV. In all my meetings the suits say they want the kind of chemistry that Good Day LA tossed away.
I was away from Sandra for a few hours Saturday ( host Mommy guilt) hanging with a bunch of nuns. The Good News Girls were honored at The Good Shepard Shelter fund-raiser. It’s an oasis hidden in the middle of LA for battered woman and children. The nuns that run it are nothing like the ones I remember from school. They had a band and we danced with the nuns. And none of them said my skirt was too short.

Speaking of short skirts I would love to borrow this one from Sandra. My friends have given her so much stuff I may need a U-Haul to get her home.
Her bandages are off. At first she hated her hand. She wouldn’t even let Nash see (he had to promise no tickling or tormenting her for 2 days if he could just see her hand). But that was so two days ago. Now its healing. Right now she is rolling on the floor bursting bubble wrap. She is giggling,wiggling her brand new pinkie and yelling pinkie lady. I think a Pink Lady is a drink right? Maybe with gin?
This week I will drink with Jean. But mojitos are rum. Don’t think I can do gin or rum. Can’t we just have wine and whine?
Dorothy I miss my mornings with you, I started my mornings with Tony and Jean followed by GDLA for 3 hours the chemistry on air between you,Steve and Jill was just right from the viewer. The new format looks very amateurish BIG MISTAKE HUGH…(I’m still a big Dorothy Lucey fan) Looks life Ktla will be my new morning entertainment. I hope that they fire the new management , I called the station several times to voice my displeasure said that I would take my complaint to the social media, and now that they fired Jean who’s next Tony?
Life just hasnt been the same with not having thee ability to wake up to you & Jill every morning… Its weird the turn Fox has taken, seems like with no concern for their employees or the millions that watch.. And yes, actually the both of you HAVE to be on tv for the world to enjoy!!… Wish you the best always, (im one of yer biggest fans!) & thoroughly enjoy yer wonderful blogs.. One question….. Is Jean now gone as well?? i havent seen her for over 2 weeks!!! Wonderin whats crackin with that….

Why oh why aren’t you and Jill scheming up something where you come back in the mornings to kick GDLA’s butt?!! I clicking my heels together, wishing and hoping it comes true! We miss you girls and my mornings have sucked ever since you’ve been gone! Please do something about it!! In the meantime, give Sandra kisses. I have loved following her story and tell her that her fingers are beautiful!!!

Rick Lozano was the first one to get the boot…..then the others were picked off one by one.
My guess is that Steve will be next, and they will demote him to just the half-hour noon news.
I can’t watch GDLA anymore. I.m giving KTLA a try this week……
I vote for you Jill and Steve to do your own show on another network.

You were the demise of Jillian so I doubt that would be a smart move on her part. She could carry you but not vice versa. Oh and this blog?..is a one paragraph personal gratification for when you need attention.

I miss you girls on GDLA, just can’t wrap my brain around to the fact that my favorite morning show is not the same, (sorry Steve) … I love him too bu you girls just cracked me up every morning. I watched Jillian today on Channel 5 and she cracked me up agian kickin them heels up to the 7 day forecast! lol… I wish you all the best and can’t wait til you all (including Jean) are back on the air.

I was actually thinking about what has transpired on gdla this morning as I was putting on my makeup. (I guess I shouldn’t admit that; I mean, I really do have a life!) Anyway…I think the thing Mr. Bleeding Eyes doesn’t “get” is that especially for morning TV, the viewers love and actually need the feeling of familiarity and a sense of belonging that glda provided. That kind of chemistry doesn’t happen often, but when it does click, it’s unbeatable. Kind of like the old sit-com “Cheers”, where “everybody knows your name”. We all gravitate toward that, especially in the morning in our bathrobes doing our regular, routine stuff. It was somehow comforting that the little TV family was there, in good times and bad. I must report that I have begun watching KTLA in the a.m. occasionally, and they’re a nice bunch. I’m glad Sandra is doing so well. Give her a hug from all of her virtual grandmas. (Abuelitas?)
Oh, and as for the “not from sin city” person, pay him no mind. He just needs to go back down to mom’s basement and play some dungeons and dragons.

I think you ladies should start your own show and when you drink with Jean tell her we miss her. It just seems wrong that the fans are treated that way. Well all I can say shirt man everyone is replaceable and that means you! Ok now I must go do something nice cuz I never rant like that!

I actually watched a few moments of GDLA yesterday… Only because Mark of Mark and Brian was on…. It just pisses me off … It’s like watching your family got broken up… And now your watching your ex with his new family…lol!! It was hard losing the 3 amigos AND Mark & Brian in the same summer…. Sad… Very sad….
I watched GDLA every morning for years and years – why? Because the group was interesting, fun, intelligent, adult and started off my day without the intense heavy baggage on most of the other early programs. Now it’s a mess! Giggly twinkies without experience imparting nothing! Good heavens, how can Steve stand it! – And pushing Larry Elder – Mr. Viriol – before breakfast – well – that was the proverbial straw!!! – So – if the terrific three are ever going to get back together again – I’d love to know – But please – NOT ON FOX!
