you are such a phenomenal daughter who truly CAN do anything. this tribute to your unique spitfire of a mother is everything a parent would love. in fact, your mum would feel immense pride reading the way you’ve written about her because it’s honest, authentic, deeply heartfelt and vulnerable. this talent is one if your many gifts. tonight i thought of you and jillian after a spot about a 90’s nostalgia art installation aired on channel 5 news (your former channel 11 is a shell of its former glory so i jumped ship). the trifecta known as the blond bombshell -> you, steve edwards and unfiltered jillian michaels was truly exhilarating to watch. you helped ignite laughter as i was getting ready for work. you made it significantly more enjoyable! your combined talents were like a well oiled comedy act like “the three amigos.” your trifecta taught me something every morning. my series of boyfriend’s always had a crush on you and thankfully i wasn’t the jealous type. i looked forward to your mischievous morning antics. they were NOTHING like i had ever seen in south florida news. i moved to california from the sunshine state in the 90’s and was immediately captivated by the dynamic energy the three of you authentically possessed. tonight i googled you and found this post. it is so healing ❤️‍

Dorothy,

I am so sorry for you and your family. What a remarkable woman. And what remarkable daughter. I remember briefly meeting your mother when you hitched a ride to DC with me from PA.. 1981 I think. It wasn't more than a minute of two meeting. But what a greeting. So welcoming. I could tel she was quite special. She will be in my prayers, as I'm sure she will be in so many prayers from those who read your loving remembrance of her.

I have loved and lost many dogs, mostly labs. So, where do you bury a dog that was your best friend, in your heart. They will live forever.

Cried once. But it was a long cry. Why can’t they stay longer? The last pet we lost will always be the best one ever and no other one will ever compare. Then again, we see them and we bring them home. Thank you for giving Milly the best home. A dog that didn’t know who her daddy was. So what, she lived her best life.

Milly. There will never be another you, but the love you leave behind will outlast the ages. I hope in heaven there's a thing where you can wag your tail as hard as you want to and it will never break. We will all be really, really nice to your mom, dad and older brother Nash while they try to navigate this world without you sharing the bed and brightening their every day. Love love love to all of you.

Yes, dogs do come back after they have passed. My daughter can attest to that. Her dog died a year ago and she still feels his presence in her house. Sometimes she even smells him. My husband died years ago while driving our kids, ages 3 and 5 at the time, to school. He came back almost immediately. At first I thought I was hallucinating but as time when on I realized I wasn't. Every time I went to a psychic, he or she would always ask me .. "Who's the guy with the dark brown hair and green eyes sitting next to you?" Right after we got married, my husband said to me .. "I will never leave you, you are stuck with me forever". Man, was he right. I even wrote a book "Married to a Ghost" so that others would know that they were not crazy, there is life after death. My husband has helped us and protected us through the years and I am forever grateful for his presence.. Millie will always be with you.
