I don’t really care about wrinkles. Well at least I don’t care after I’ve had Botox. I’m more concerned (panicked, apoplectic perhaps) about tightening my skin. That’s why I like lasers. They are subtle, but they work. They also work on sun damage but I gave up on that one about 100 paddleboard rides ago. I love the sun. I know it hates my skin. I try to be good. And I do love my lasers. Nurse Jamie at the Beauty Park in Santa Monica says lasers are a girls best friend. I got one last week and I feel at least a week younger.
Dorothy you are beautiful <3 But I feel you on , actually feeling beautiful at times. I am not even 30 yet and I have so many wrinkles and saggy bags under my eyes. Ive bought and tried sooo many creams. So far nothing really works. Not to mention I dont even go in the sun very much. Ive been dealing with depression for the last 2 yrs. Im thinking about maybe getting a chemical peel to make my skin look better. Something inexpensive… What do you recommend? Im a mommy of two beautiful kids, and don't want them to see me struggle with this. =(
I used to think Dorothy Lucyet was the most wondertful hing about KNXT when she was there.
Then she went on GMLA and had no idea how emptyeaded she was.
Now I find this blog and I can;t get over how vapid, empty and superficial her life is. I read that she left teh Catholic Chruch for a Presbyterian congregation. I wish her well – and am so glad the Catholics no longer have to feel responsible for her
But I am still in love with her voice.
Oh yes-I wanna say something! I am not one of Dorothy’s beautiful and succesful friends. Infact, I am a 51 year old woman who is unemployed, broke, not knowing how I’ll pay my bills this month and can’t even land a $10.00 an hour job. Nope, I woldn’t fit in her crowd at all! So don’t even think that.
I actually just wanted to see what she was up to these days and as usual-nothing but good ! And then some jerk writes in and puts her down? She enjoys a good life and she deserves it! She is sweet, funny and very inspiring. Yep, shes a little silly-isn’t that fun? She does good for so many people. How dare you!
How very small of you! And I have to wonder, why did you go on her blog at all? Does it make you feel powerful to talk about people like that?
Dorothy, you are a person that we should all look up too. Good luck in all your indervers. ( :
i go to Beauty Park medical spa also. Which lazer does Jamie use on you for tightening?
Thank you,
Linda
First, “Sean”, go post on your FB page instead of DL’s blog, and inflate your ego there…us positive people do not care to hear you on this forum!!! And Dorothy, you’re fun, free spirited and live life on your terms…which everyone should be doing. Wrinkles, wine and cheese are all good!!! Cheers : )
Putting yourself out there on a blog like this takes guts, humor, and intelligence. Dorothy, you have all of these qualities in abundance. But far more important–while making us laugh, you’re also saving the world, one glass of wine at a time. All the good work you do for Mending Kids and countless other charities has changed and enriched and even saved more lives than any of us can count. Keep being brilliant, beautiful and benevolent. I eliminated the Oxford comma in that sentence just for you. Rock on, sweet sister.
