I have a new friend named Siri. I talk to her all the time. She’s much smarter than my old smart phone named CrackBerry. I dropped Crackberry (literally). I’ve dropped Siri a few times too but she lives in a big fat phone condom. Only problem is my son says I call her Suri. And I think that’s Tom Cruise’s kid. I have asked Siri all sorts of things…like why did I go out so much last week? Tuesday was Linda Thompson’s birthday. Not that you can tell. She does not age. She finally told me her entire Elvis story. I will just tell you that she ignored Elivs the night they met. Untill he mentioned he was separated (good Southern girl..bless her heart). She told him he should have married a Southern girl. They were together till just before he died. So my Southern Belle is opening her gifts and a young guy comes by. He starts flirting with her. He’s an Aussie. Cute accent. Cute guy. He finally left. Comes back 5 min later and says his friends were upset that he did not notice the woman next to Linda was the legend that is… Natalie Cole. Natalie was lovely. She posed for a photo. Then the guy breaks into a forgettable version of Unforgettable. FINALLY he left. Comes back 5 minutes later with a bottle of champagne. Now that’s an unforgettable apology. Got home around 11PM. Wednesday I went to the desert. With Priscilla. Opening night of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Man that show is a ride. I went with my Good News Girls and of course Wendy B had to buy a boa. Got home around midnight. Thursday (did I mention I’m tired?) The Good News Girls were honored by LAPD’s Hollenbeck PALS. The event was at the Police Academy. My dad was a cop and taught at the Academy in NY so this is close to my heart. Larry King was also honored. He said it would not stop us from getting tickets. The cops seemed to agree. We borrowed dresses from Simin (on Robertson). Mine had a corset. My sister was trying to truss me up…but I was late (of course) so we got in the car. She was trying to tighten it while I’m driving on the 10. Still falling out of it when I got there so Wendy B had to trussed me up. Every time I use the word truss I think of Fifty Shades of Grey…anyway. A girlfriend said we looked like the Charlie’s Angels of charity. I love that girl. Got home around 10PM (hey early night). Friday the new TMZ offices were dedicated to the co-creator of the show. He died this year. His name was Jim Paratore and he is the reason I married my husband. David and Jim worked together in Miami. Jim was starting a new morning show and mentioned my name as someone he wanted to hire. David said I went to college with that girl I can call her. So he called me. Now in college I thought my husband was a bit full of himself (his hair was longer than mine). He thought I was a bitchy cheerleader type (I was neither). When he called I said (nicely because I was NOT a bitch) I’m working in NY so why would I move to Miami? Next day…my show got cancelled. I called him back. The job was gone. But we made plans to have dinner when he was in NY. And that was that. Thank you Jim. In a way…I owe you my life… My life is very exciting today. We gave our dog a bath. But Siri has informed me I’m going out again tonight…
