First of all My husband says I never make his eyes bleed. Maybe his ears, but just a bit.
I wasn’t expecting such a big response to my first blog. Perhaps next time I will think before I blog (especially if I ever want to work in TV again). It was just supposed to be an honest (and I hoped humorous) blog about my old job. One friend told me he is still sitting shiva for the show. I’ve been wearing black all weekend. A black bikini.
My little Sandra is the El Salvadorian Gidget. We went bikini shopping Saturday. I wanted her to get the animal print. She went with pink stripes. She loves the ocean. The other day there was an ocean of vomit in my car but more on that in a moment.
Tuesday is her first Doctor’s appointment. We will find out all about her surgery to separate her fused fingers. I don’t know who is more nervous Sandra or me. OK I do know…it’s me.
Friday I took her to CNN. I was on my friend Jane Velez Mitchell’s show (talking about Honey Boo Boo–I would much rather discuss my Honey Bonita). It sounded like a fun field trip for my sweet Mending Kid. She loved Jane. Nichele Turner showered her with love and lollipops.
It’s all fun till someone barfs. Apparently Sandra gets a little car sick. Especially on the 10 freeway. If you happened to see on the side of the road with a child barfing near Bundy (that’s near Fox where I wanted to vomit a few times too) that was us.
She was fine a minute later but I guess there will be some bumps and barfs in the road.
After the Doctor’s appoinment… I may be the one throwing up on the freeway…

My princess, the gays with wine sure miss you on our stops around the world.
Now, we just toast to a blank TV screen.

Leather seats were always a luxury, in my book, when it came to cars. However, after I was blessed with becoming pregnant with my third child, and realized we would need a bigger car, leather seats became a part of the necessary criteria. That’s my long -winded way of saying, I sure hope you have leather seats!!!
The way I keep from getting sick- I sit in the back right, with a window just cracked open … Just a tad.

don’t worry, you are not alone, we had to pull over Sunday on Kanan for some barfing. That’s all I can say on the subject…. xx

I am loving your blog! And loving Sandra! What a precious little girl! I was sad about the carsickness; not fun. Can she ride in the front seat? That helps . Also looking out the window, not reading, etc. My little ones have outgrown it, thank God. You were the last thread holding me to morning TV, and when you left, so did I. I get so much done in the mornings now. I pray about the coming day and my peeps and NEVER think about the Kardashians or their ilk. So, it’s been a positive thing for me and I hope for you too!

I was thinking since little Sandra gets car sick maybe keep some lemons in the car so he can smell it and avoid “the barf thing”.

You are so funny the way you express yourself. It’s very honest and really show how fun you are to be around. Sorry to hear about the car sickness they sell motion sick ness pills if you don’t like that then being in the drivers seat helps… oh but wait she is too youmg isn’t she.. the window open also helps. The fresh air and the wind blowing in her face helps and if nothing else the window open is good so you car doesn’t get too full of vomit. The thrills of having children it’s so much fun . I can’t wait to hear more .. take care =}
You know, I’m thinking things happen for a reason. You probably wouldn’t have left gdla if the unthinkable had not happened. But look where you are landing, in a totally beautiful and meaningful place where your true colors and grace are shining through. This very powerful and inspiring.
Just to say page formatting is working perfectly in my (firefox) browser, on my iphone and my rss too. No idea why some are having problems. . . .
