So I may have been taking this “new mom” thing too seriously. I mean she is 11. I didn’t brush my hair or teeth. And Sandra is a great excuse not to exercise. But even deep in the throws of what Steve Edwards (remember him?) calls my “Saint Dot” days…I realized my roots were almost down to my boobs.
So I went to see Tracey Colorist. Actually Tracey Cunningham the blonde whisperer. She is the best combination of hugs, highlights and celebrities. I’ve meet more famous people in her chair than I did on Good Day LA.
Once she gave me the hair color God meant to give me…I was on my way. I picked up some pupusas for my Sandra and went home to play. She is not as homesick (or car sick Thank God) as she was. In her sweet way she is kind of a diva (or maybe i’m just not used to having a girl). I asked Nash if he was enjoying the temporary sister thing. He said it might be better if we all spoke the same language. But we are getting there.
It hasn’t all been shits and giggles. But I do love this little girl. So much I have watched Shark Boy and Lava Girl…twice. The first time I tried to explain 3 D glasses. The glasses were too big so she put on the sunglasses we had given her. I may not have explained the concept correctly.
Her surgery is next week… so say a prayer. But I think her future, and my highlights, are so bright. We’ll both have to wear shades.
Dorothy, I wish you would get your act together and quit writing on Feacbook as if you were on Twitter. Do you know how annoying that is ? Trying to figure out what you are saying with all those symbols and abbreviations .
Will we, your fans ever find out why you really left GDLA.? All we, your fans can do is speculate on what really happened. I truly miss seeing you on GDLA or just on TV in general. I didn’t realize your husband is or was an anchor on Chanel 9.
Um, Albert, I suggest you read her very first blog post entitled “you make my eyes bleed.”
Yes Albert, u need to read all her blogs =D And the whole symbols abreviation thing is because her twitter is connected to her Fb. Alot of people have it that way =)
Um Albert,
Its HER blog ! if you don’t like what she says dont read it! Obviously you haven’t paid attention her husband is awesome The David Goldstein emmy award winning for his awesome investigative stories on CBS and K-CALL.
Keep blogging Dorothy you are awesome!
I can’t stand it when people make negative comments to you on here. GET OFF THIS BLOG IF YOU DON’T LIKE DOROTHY!!

Ahhh pupusas – they are so yummy. Had some fresh hand-made ones last weekend. Still can taste them if I think about them enough. Delish!
So glad to read that Sandra’s surgery is moving forward. I’m sure it’s scary – for everyone involved – but she’s in good hands.
I am so glad that you have embarked on a new journey that God has set up for you. I always knew you were very special and now the whole world can know too. Thank you for putting your personal feelings aside to make room for Sandra. We who are born with or have disabilities really appreciate individuals like you and we need more of you. God Bless you Dorothy.
You are an angel. Wishing Sandra a speedy recovery. Looking forward to your next post. XO
I also sport the hair color God meant for me to have. It takes considerable effort but, I mean, how could He have wanted me to look like Ma Kettle?? Keep up the good work with precious Sandra. You are truly being used to bless her. I will be praying for her surgery and complete healing and recovery. I love your blog! It gives me just enough of your fun way of looking at things, that I don’t miss GDLA at all! As I’ve said before, you were the reason I watched, so now I just read your blog and it’s all good!
I really love your blog but dayam! i miss you on GDLA! At least once a week I’ll send Fox a tweet reminding them of how awful GDLA is without you “three”. My dad and I were such fans of the show for many, many years =) Each of you brought something unique to the table and together you were all so AWESOME!
How did Sandrita eat her pupusas? fingers or fork? Which kind is her favorite? I hope you ordered her some horchata too. LOL!
I look forward to your next post…
