You always remember your first…boogie board ride. Sandra had her first Friday and now she is living in Boogie (board) Wonderland. You can’t imagine her joy in the ocean. Actually you don’t have to. I do have a photo.
Since it’s been hot as shit (why am I cursing in my sweet blog? And is shit really hot?) we have been in the water endlessly. After her surgery I’m afraid Sandra will be bored (no boogie). She has a 2 week recovery. That’s a lot of Dora.
Boogie Wonderland
She is getting used to it here. I finally got her to eat a Dorito. Her Dad called yesterday and said he had a message for me. I didn’t want to screw it up so I called 2 translators. The message was…make her take care of the new crayons you got her so that she can bring them when she comes home. Got it Pops.
Other than having my own son ( who has been mortified by me ever since he turned 14) there could be no greater joy. I remember Sandra Bullock in The Blindside saying I’m not changing his life… he’s changing mine. It sounded so sanctimonious. Even from an Oscar winner. And it is…but it’s also true.
I sometimes wonder if I could have done this…and my job. I guess I could have but thank goodness I got (I’m not going to say shitcanned and curse again) fired so I could smell the flora and watch the Dora.

I am loving you right now! You have always been entertaining but you such a joy to watch and your daily adventures are priceless! Sandra must be having the time of her life all because of you and your charity. I ddo not watch GDLA anymore out of support for you and I am learning to like matt lauer lol! Keep your blog going! Blogging is your freedom to share what you want! I enjoy reading you and following you. I think what you are doing is amazing. God never gives us more than we can handle. Even if it turned out they way it did at your other job. GDLA you have a great job right now and I adore that I am able to share in it. Maybe this is your destiny to help mending kids. Sandra’s sweet little face shines with pure joy! There is now doubt that you are in the right place “for such a time as this”. (Remember Esther in the bible?) I don’t know anyone else but you who could be the perfect fit for Sandra and what is in God’s plan for her life right now.
