Steve called me. He said he has this fantasy that I love my new life. I do. Mostly. He calls me Saint Dot. Which is a crock. I just have a little more time now.
Wow that whole Steve’s fantasy title was just a big tease. Reminds me of a show we used to do.
Today I’m packing Sandra’s stuff. Only 2 shopping days till she goes back to El Salvador. She came with one backpack. She’s going back with 2 suitcases that each weighs exactly what she weighs- 50 pounds. It takes her family 4 hours on 3 buses to get to the airport. I warned them she didn’t pack light.
Her hand is almost healed. I hope her Mom will be pleased. As for her host Mom…I will miss her running through the house screaming, giggling, chasing Nash and the dog. We all call our dog Milky Way– Leche. At this very moment Sandra is making farting sounds (can’t imagine who taught her that) in Leche’s face. Perhaps Leche is the Saint.
In a few months she will be back. In between her trips I’m taking a trip with Mending Kids back to Ethiopia. You know maybe my husband is the Saint.

Sandra will enjoy Her first normal Christmas night.

moved from socal in 2008 but kept my directv up here in redding to i could still watch my favorite morning show. was sad to see you go. still watch steve though. glad to hear you have more time to do the things that inspire you. God’s speed.
