I’m trying to show Sandra the best of the US. The Bachelor, Disneyland (maybe not in that order).
It’s refreshing that she knows no celebrities (she has heard of Justin Bieber and JLo but no Lindsay Lo). She does know Obama. We watched the State of the Union. Michelle Obama looked like she was going clubbing. But Sandra and I did like the dress. Sandra has vetoed several of mine. She says CORTO! Too short. My Mom says I wore more when I wore a diaper. Sandra just shakes her head.
When The President walked in she asked me “Where’s Romney?” She was here in September and October and got used to seeing them together during the debates. Poor child. Since I’m not on TV I’ll make anyone listen to me talk politics. Sandra left before the election. She had no idea Obama won. I guess the election wasn’t such big news in El Salvador.
She’ll be back in El Salvador soon. She has a Doctor’s appointment on Valentines Day. And soon my sweetie will leave. She’ll leave with 10 beautiful fingers and 100 pounds of stuff. By stuff I mean stuffed animals, Monopoly (even she beats me) some cute dresses (not too Corto) and memories.
.
We hope she will come back to visit. Or we will visit her. I’m awfully attached to my Mini Me.
Last night I did leave her to go see opening night of Jekyll and Hyde. I’ve always liked that cute Contantine M. He’s got a mini Johnny Depp thing going on. When he was cut from IDOL I went back stage to give him a hug and could barely get thru the agents around him.
Between Broadway, the Inauguration and The Grammy’s it’s been IDOLs everywhere.
Did you like Ladies Love Cool Jay hosting The Grammy’s? Last time I saw him was at Nobu (where dinner costs a mortgage payment). I had friends in from out-of-town and it is one of the best place to spot a celeb (actually I see more celebrities at CVS in Malibu but who wants to take their guests there). My friends went up to him. Ladies Love was lovely. But when he left he suggested they pay his bill. No one loves Cool James that much.
By the way Sandra did not approve of JLo’s dress at the Grammys. I think she was shocked to see someone had one shorter than me.
As long as you wear underwear, it’s not obscene.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Love (and miss) your giggles, smiles and corto skirts! You’re a great mom to Sandra! Did she see Rubio? El tiene mucho ser!
Dorothy, you are a very funny lady! I also love to read your blogs since your not on tv anymore
I really hope that you and Sandra keep in touch, now that she’s part of your family! God bless her, you and your beautiful family ![]()
Thank you for sharing your life with us…
Don’t worry about the corto skirts. Every skirt on me is corto, since I’m almost 6 feet tall. I once got kicked off a golf course for wearing “illegal” Tommy Bahama golf shorts that I’d purchased in THEIR golf pro shop. Too corto! Must leave! Shorter girlfriend with me who also bought the same shorts at their pro shop happily played on while I was banished. So—-wear the corto where you may! And may you never be kicked out of any venue graced by your boyfriend Constantine Maroulis. Keep us chortling, girlfriend!
I know how tall and fabulous you are. Remember Deb…I have seen you naked. Xo DL
Hi Dorothy, Please never stop writing on your blog. You are pretty funny and I need a chuckle now and then, lol. I am so happy for Sandra and you will both miss each other dearly. I pray you never lose touch with her. I know life gets busy. As far as your skirt being to short, with your legs no skirt is to short. Happy Sunday Dot.
Hugs
Well. Its so hard to watch the Tele w/ you on.. It’s such a drag w/ the new. Hardly watch the news besides the traffic update…
