I don’t snore. Ana Garcia says I do. Well actually she said I make kitten like noises. That’s purring. That’s borderline sexy. That’s NOT snoring.
Yes. I slept with her. Seems like I’m always sleeping with some investigative reporter. Ana was my roommate on our great Good News Girls road trip. We work, we drink, we spa. That’s why we call it FUN-lanthropy. We were picking people to give money to. Now we have to raise the damn money. We are trying to spread some good news (since we certainly have spread some less than good news).
The Good News Foundation has two new board members Nischelle Turner and Leslie Miller. I used to work with Nischelle at Good Day LA. I always thought letting her go was the dumbest thing (OK second dumbest) thing they every did. Leslie Miller is that hot blonde from KABC. She brought the wine so we already adore her. Other Good News board members are Christine Devine (KTTV) Ana Garcia (KNBC) Wendy Burch (KTLA). And of course our Queen bee (Queen G?) Good News Girl emeritus Pat Harvey.
That other investigative reporter I sleep with, David Goldstein, would want me to tell you that no charity funds are used for our fun. I make him pay the spa bill.
On the way home we got our tweet on and answered questions. Like did we hit the Outlets. Please. Of course. I bought the least (I’m unemployed) I think Miss Christine Devine bought the most.
Someone asked who has to pee the most. Oh that would be me. I have a bladder the size of a pea. And someone asked if we fart in the car. We don’t fart and tell.
Amid all this silliness and good news…there is some bad news. Jillian Barberie is getting a divorce. I have always liked Grant (but when do Jill and I ever agree?) I talked to her (well texting is talking right?) and sent my love. She is a strong (beautiful and talented) girl. She will be OK. They have the two gorgeous children. I know they will all (eventually) be OK.
OK I am so exhausted from all our do gooding this weekend and commuting the 20 feet to my computer. I almost want a nap. I can curl up next to my smelly dog (she does fart) and my cat. We both purr.
Dorothy , I hope u get back on tv soon. unless u really like surfing, drinking wine,, sunsets and living w/o stress!!

gosh i wish i could hang with you girls! I was so sad to hear about Grant and Jllian. Obviously i don’t know either of them personally but Grant sure seemed like a down to earth, great father and husband. I think they should just sit in a room, with a lifetime of photo’s of their life together and see what brought them together in the first place. Maybe sometimes you just have to remember what you do have and how precious it is. and remember all the love that was there. If there’s any love there, i truly believe in my heart you can get back to that place again. Aside from someone just falling in love with someone else, which in this case i don’t think that was the case, i think you can get that love back. Especially for those beautiful children. I wish them both the best.
Dorothy love your road trip.. Taking time for your peeps is a strong point I admire. Sam is right get back out their soon, I miss you followingLiLo we know it is a matter of time again , and taxpayer money, uggg I wonder when the LILO defense will start turning up in court.. Just sayin Jillian so sad for them, but we never know what goes on in everyone’s lives..it would be great to see a happy ending.. Hopeless romantic. gosh how I miss you and the (now in the past) GDLA…my mornings are not the same. It’s like…there is no network out there that can try to duplicate or best a show like GDLA. Yes…i get it, you’ve moved on (happy for you!!) but for some reason I don’t think I have!
I must say you have the best pose in that “Founding Five” photo – would make for a good Dorothy cardboard cutout!
Bummer that you, Jill and Jean are no longer at Fox11 – the new people are terrible. Your “replacement” (that Chang girl) is absent an awful lot already for someone who’s only been there a few months – me thinks she’s someone’s favorite in upper management. Not surprising, I suppose.
