So today is my 20th wedding anniversary. I know I said that yesterday. And no it’s not Ground Hog Day. But my husband and I are apparently both blondes. On September 3rd we tweeted our wedding photo. We both put the photo on Facebook. We went to Nobu to celebrate. Really a bad idea because dinner there is practically a mortgage payment. And as you may have noticed I’m unemployed. Plus I hate fish. My idea of a fine restaurant is 7/11.
Even though my husband made me try his seaweed salad I enjoyed our anniversary. Except it wasn’t.
Kim, my beautiful red headed (curtains matched the carpet) roommate in college was also my Maid of Honor. Just a short digression here- Kimmy was way hotter than me. As my husband (who went to college with us) will occasionally remind me. So Kim sees our wedding photo on Facebook and calls me. She said “Your anniversary is tomorrow.” I said bitch (I said this with love) it’s been 20 years. I think I know when my anniversary is. Then she sent me a photo of a silver frame I gave her with a wedding photo. I was so thoughtful I had it engraved. With the date…September 4 1993. Bitch was right.
Nash said to me “Mom I get how Dad would forget but how could you?” Am I raising a sexist piglet? How come Dad is allowed to forget? Anyway I know for sure we had a lovely wedding at Shutters in Santa Monica somewhere around Labor Day.
We also had a crazy bachelor/bachelorette party at Harvey Levin’s house but that’s a whole other story.
We spent this Labor Day at the beach. The paparazzo were laboring to get a photo of Jessica Alba. She was at a party with her husband and kids at beach. At least 15 photographers were stalking her. Cops told them to stand on wet sand or else they were trespassing on someones land. They got soaked. Their equipment got wet. Neighborhood dogs snarled at them. But they told me it would all be worth it, if they got a bikini shot. They didn’t. She wore her cover up all day.
By the way we walked by and said hi. She was lovely to anyone who didn’t have a camera pointed at her.
Even with her posse of paparazzi it looked like she had a lovely day. I hope so. After all it was the day before my anniversary. Make that 2 days before.
It’s kind of funny that I’m a redhead in my wedding photo ( curtains did not match the carpet). I dyed it for a TV show I did just before GDLA. Bad idea. I was a redhead for less that a year. My real hair color is dog poop brown. But apparently I’m a blonde…

Happy 20th Dorothy to you and your hubby…happens to all of us..I forget how old i am sometimes..have to literally stop for a second and think about it!! and i’m not blonde..lol…i’ll be married 35 years next March.. Those paparazzi are relentless..We were at Coogie’s one day and Sharon Osbourne, Ozzie, and Howie Mandel were all there..everything was fine in Coogie’s, but when they went outside to have an ice cream cone they were literally chased away on the parking lot…that must really get old..
Love your blog
Sincerely
