We got there late.
We left early.
The very LA approach to the Women’s March.
I didn’t even have a sign.
But I saw a bunch I loved…
Like Brains are the New Boobs.
Grab Em By The Midterms.
And
We Marched On Him Like A Bitch.
I actually missed the marching part.
Typical me…I was late, we had coffee and I then had to pee.
We finally got there for the speeches.
And the singers.
It felt like pink cap Coachella.
When we got there Idina Menzel was Defying Gravity.
When we left Andra Day and Maxwell were singing California.
We left early because one of my friends is a yoga instructor ad she had to teach.
How California is that?
Every speaker told the crowd to vote.
I already do that so I need some more marching orders.
Maybe I need to use my voice.
I have been happy teaching, paddle boarding and generally not using my voice since I left (ok forcibly left) GDLA.
But that maybe changing.
We are getting the band back together.
At least for lunch.
The three of us had a four hour lunch
For the first time in 5 years.
Here’s how things have changed.
Steve had a glass of wine.
And I didn’t.
Eventually Jill had to leave for her radio show.
Steve and I sat a bit longer.
Then he got a call from Lauren Sivan.
He was so happy to hear from yet another of his former blondes.
But Lauren was with Jill at the radio station and was just calling to tell us Jill left her phone.
Steve asked for Jill’s security code.
He wanted to see photos we took of the three of us.
Jill didn’t particularly want Steve to look at all her other photos.
By the way when Steve posted the photos he neglected to photoshop.
As Jill told him…1st rule of Fight Club…you must filter photos.
So…
How many blondes does it take to return a phone?
I volunteered to drop it off at KABC on my way home.
Her kids kept FaceTiming.
I answered because I was worried something was wrong.
But they just wanted Mom.
She is such a good Mommy.
And we have put all our crap behind us.
But if we do another show I’m sure we’ll find something to fight about.
Because we are family.
I got all my sisters with me.
Steve’s been around women so much he’s really kind of girl.
Please apply!

I miss watching you guys in the morning, although I truly believe that beautiful things do come out of pain. I love your backdrop photo.
And many lessons.

The stirrings of something new. Maybe starting as a podcast to get your rhythm back…then soaring on a new TV platform. If you build it, we will come! xoxoxxox
Love you DH!

I would totally watch that show. I miss you guys so much – you were my mornings, the start to my day – the reason I was smiling as I left the house.
I haven’t watched GDLA since you left. Would love to see you guys do something
I am so happy you all had were together. If walls could talk. Love to see something special come out of these. Wait it already did. Hopefully we get to hear you guys radio or podcast or if we are lucky enough an occasional tv spot. To friends.
