Of Cats and Cancer.

There’s poop in my fireplace.
Unless Santa got confused…
I’ll assume it was the cat.
Apparently that’s not as batshit (or cat shit) as it seems.
Jillian says cranky cats do this.
Our cat has been cranky since we got the dog…
13 years ago.
Naturally this became a topic on the radio show.
Steve and I were on KABC with Jillian last week.
20 hours of radio.
6am to 10am.
At 11am on Tuesday Steve butt dialed me.
I was with Lisa Breck so she answered my phone.
Steve can not get away from his former co-hosts.
Lisa and I went to a class at Unplug Meditation.
It’s the Dry Bar of zen.
They have meditation all day every day.
And I believe it’s better to meditate…
Than medicate.

Last week on our radio reunion Jill, Steve and I discussed meditation, Game of Thrones, cat poop and cancer.
Jillian has chemo every Friday.
On Monday she was still ill so Steve and I did the show alone.
By Tuesday she was back at work, looking gray.
Wednesday and Thursday she’s ok.
Then chemo again on Friday.
It’s daunting.
But she does it.
Every week.
Jillian doesn’t wear her wig to work.
Since there’s no hair and makeup required I slept in until 4:45.
My morning puffy eyes are back.
Steve says it’s from wine.
I whined that it’s from the early wakeup call.
Apparently we whined a lot in the old Good Day LA days.
Steve says the producers would always ask “How’s Jillian today?” “How’s Dorothy?”
In 20 years apparently no one ever asked…
“How’s Steve?”
He’s fine.
I’m fine.
Jillian will be fine.
Not so sure about the cat.
He’s on thyroid meds.
Then again so I am.
But he’s 16 and senile.
And his litter box is on fire.
